Presenter Guidelines

 

Oral Presentation

  1. The slides contents must be written in English.
  2. Create of your slides with Powerpoint 2010 or newer versions (*.ppt or *.pptx).
  3. Presentation file should be saved on a USB memory stick, and brought to the check slide desk 1 hr before the start of your session.
  4. Presentation in English or Farsi is acceptable.
  5. Please be available in corresponding hall at least 15 minutes before the start of your session.
  6. Your presentation should take no more than 7 minutes.
  7. The panel chairs have received instructions to stop the speakers if they run over their time.
  8. If the original presenting author is unable to present, one of the co-authors must take over this responsibility.

 

Poster Discussion (Mini- Oral)

  1. As a poster discussion or mini-oral presenter, you are requested to prepare a very brief presentation (maximum 3-4 slides), which summarizes the key findings and important implications of your work.
  2. Your presentation should take no more than 3 minutes.
  3. Create of your slides with Powerpoint 2010 or newer versions (*.ppt or *.pptx).
  4. Maximum slides number is 5.
  5. Do not use animated effects, “animations” and videos.
  6. Presentation file should be saved on a USB memory stick, and brought to the check slide desk 1 hr before the start of your session.
  7. The presenter is responsible for delivering the presentation within the specified time. The panel chairs have received instructions to stop the speakers if they run over their time.

Poster Presentation

  1. Poster Presentation Program
  2. The posters are to be in English, the official language of the Congress.
  3. Posters should be laid out in portrait style (90 cm high and 70 cm wide).
  4. The poster number will be displayed on the top of the poster board.
  5. Make sure that the specific sections (such as the Background, Methods, Results and Conclusions) are easy to locate on the poster.
  6. Make sure that the type/font size is large enough to be read at a distance of 1.5 meters (five feet). The fonts should at least be 28 pts for text and 44 pts for headings.
  7. Try to keep your word count as low as possible; Supporting images (graphs, tables, illustrations, photographs…) can be very helpful and are often necessary to display results.
  8. Mounting materials will be available at the Poster Helpdesk.
  9. In the Morning Poster Sessions; Posters should be mounted on the determined day between 08:00 and 08:30, and removed between 12:30 and 13:00.
  10. In the Evening Poster Sessions; Posters should be mounted on the determined day between 13:30 and 14:00, and removed between 17:00 and 17:30.
  11. The poster exhibition staff will remove and dispose of posters that are not taken down. The staff assumes no responsibility for material left behind.
