Call for abstracts:

The 11th International Congress of Immunology and Allergy will be held in 26-29 April, 2012 in Milad Tower in Tehran, Iran. Iranian Society of Immunology & Allergy together with  universities of medical sciences will help in organizing this International Congress.

We invite proposals for workshops, and abstracts to be presented orally or by posters, addressing topics in all areas of basic and clinical immunology. We especially welcome abstracts that are experiment- based and those covering new and emerging topics within immunology. Proposals will be evaluated through a peer review process focused on the following three criteria: (1) the scientific merit of the proposal, (2) the innovative nature of the proposal, and (3) the proposal's integration of multiple aspects of basic and clinical immunology and allergy and related sciences.

Workshop proposals are expected from scientists who are interested and able to participate in congress by running and leading the relevant applied workshops in demanding topics.

Papers for oral presentations are appropriate for works that will focus on an independent related research topic. After acceptance/rejection of proposals has been determined, the conference scientific comities will group paper presentations into sessions consisting of 3-5 presentations. The amount of time allowed for each individual presentation will be determined by the total number of presentations involved.

Poster presentations will be made at one of three poster sessions held Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Presentations will be made in a written format on display boards.

There is no limit on the number of poster submissions.

Please be aware of the Society's ongoing effort to increase the rigor of the review process and the quality of the presentations at the conference. As a result, we are likely to accept fewer paper and workshop presentations and to accept more poster presentations. Please be sure to indicate during submission if you would like your paper to be considered for inclusion as posters if they are not accepted as proposed. The deadline for submissions will be February 19th, 2012.

All proposals should be submitted electronically via the conference website. Please check the ISIA conference webpage (http://www.icia.ir/) for regular updates regarding the instructions, submission process, including information about when the website will be open for submissions and other timetables.

If you have any questions or comments regarding the call for papers, or about the congress, please feel free to contact one of the conference secretaries:
